Since the establishment of the Foundation on 20th October 2006 and commencement of its activities on 17.03.2007, we have supported the following NGO's towards a common cause. As on date we have sanctioned projects worth Rs. 19.2 crore and the disbursements on these projects are being done in installment basis depending upon the progress of the said projects. We have supported NGOs who are working in remotest village in North-East, to tribal area of Kangra District of Himachal, to remotest village in Pallakad, Bheemanad in Kerala and Bhuj in Extreme West to Magrahat in remotest Eastern India. We have tried to reach to the remotest villages ensuring a Pan India Presence.

1. Advancement of Education

(1) Infrastructure Support:
The foundation has provided infrastructure support to the following NGOs/School to enhance the quality of education to the underprivileged children.

Year 2010-2011


LIC School Bus - Zion Educational Society, Koppa under Rajahmundry Division
This is a Voluntary organization, working  for the welfare of S.C., S.T., B.C. and Visually handicapped children those who are orphans, for the destitute and disabled. Nearly 500 visually handicapped disabled children’s are getting free education in the Institution LIC School Bus will provide  transportation for  52 non-resident / Day Scholars, Visually challenged Children who need daily transportation from their residence to the School.

LIC Wing - Sharadamba Education and Rural Development Society, Bahairumbe under Dharwad Division
The institution is providing free education from Play School to SSLC to the rural children with very high quality standard and discipline and it is situated in the backward regions of Karnataka. At present there are 232 students studying in various classes. LIC Wing will be available for library and laboratory.

LIC Wing - Seva VahiniViswastha Mandali, Koppa under Udupi Division
The Trust is running two Schools in Koppa, ‘Nachiketa’ from LKG to 7th Standard having 250 students and ‘Navchetna’ for mentally challenged children. LIC Wing in ‘Navchetna’ will enable them to accommodate more students.


LIC Wing - Saraswati Shisu Mandira, Balasore under Cuttack Division
The School is one of the best in Jaleswar area of Balasore District having ideology of Sikshya and Sanskar. LIC Wing will be available for imparting Computer education, library Facilities and Science Laboratory.

LIC Wing - Assissi Vidyalaya, CHASS, Kottayam under Kottayam Division
This Society is engaged in rehabilitation of mentally and physically handicapped children belonging to low income families to whom they provide Job Oriented Vocational Training. LIC Wing will provide for a skill oriented vocational centre.

Year 2009-2010

LIC School- Sishupathsala H S School, Dhubri under Bongaigaon Division
It is one of the oldest and prominent School in the State of Assam and around 60 % of students of the School hail from the poor and down trodden section of the society. At present there are 625 students, LIC School will enable them give better infrastructure and increase the existing capacity.

LIC School - Alayaran Anath Ashram School, Kokrajhar under Bongaigaon Division
This NGO started with a noble mission to bring up the children whose parents lost their lives during the violence erupted over a long period for Bodoland movement. At present altogether 217 Students are prosecuting their studies in various classes up to IV Standard and they stay in Hostels within the campus. LIC School will enable them to increase the capacity as well as to impart higher level of education.

LIC Bus - Corrections India, Pampady under Kottayam Division
This is a non-profit organization which aims at the prevention, control and correction through moral teaching and rehabilitation. It is a special home for prisoner’s children where they provide best education and care. LIC Bus will provide for transportation  of 65 children to the school.

LIC Roof top Solor Photovoltic System - Bharat Vikas Parishad Charitable Trust, Ludhiana under Ludhiana Division

This is a Charitable Trust who work for the benefit of physically handicapped persons through their various educational, vocational and health projects. LIC Roof top Solor Photovoltic System will meet their electricity requirements for the various projects run by them e.g. Workshop for manufacture of artificial limbs for physically handicapped persons, Polio Corrective Surgery Hospital, Policlinic being run for economically weaker sections of society, etc.

LIC Hostel - RAWA Academy, Mancheswar under Bhubaneshwar Division
This institution is doing pioneering work in the field of rehabilitation of the parentless, deserted and destitute children. Besides, it has started a Healthcare Centre to provide treatment to the poor and terminally sick patients through alternative systems of treatment such as Microvita, Acupuncture, Naturopathy, etc. LIC Hostel will facilitate rehabilitation of around 400 students.

LIC Sponsorship - SOS Children’s Villages of India, Rajpura under Chandigarh DivisionThis organization with utmost social objectives is committed to a noble cause of taking care of Parentless and homeless children. LIC Sponsorship for 50 children for the amount of Rs 6000/- for each child  will help to partly meet the nutritional, educational, clothing and medical needs.

LIC Hostel - Shri Shah K.L. Institute of Deaf, Vidyanagar under Bhavnagar Division
This institute is working for the hearing impaired children right from their birth for detection, imparting education, training and rehabilitation. At present there are 282 deaf students in the institution to whom they give all facilities free of cost. LIC Hostel will accommodate approximately 70 girls.

LIC Computer Centre – The Blind Relief Association, Bhopal under Bhopal Division
This is a leading institution for various welfare activities for blind in Bhopal for last 39 years where they provide food, clothing, medical facilities, education up tp 12th vocational & recreation facilities to the blind inmates free of cost. LIC Computer Centre will provide computer education to the blind students through a special software where they can learn by hearing the voice.

LIC Wing – Mariampur High School, Kanpur under Kanpur Division
This School is engaged in imparting education to the children from nearby slums, whose parents are migrants from UP and Bihar in search of employment. LIC Wing will help them to provide better facilities.

LIC Bus – Spandana Society, Warangal under Warangal Division
The Institute operates a Day Care and Residential Centre for both boys and girls with mental retardation and hearing impairment where they provide the education as well as vocational training and job placements to their inmates. LIC Bus will provide transportation to these inmates from their residence.

LIC Computer Centre – Bengali Tola Inter College, Varanasi under Varanasi Division
This is one of the oldest Inter college of the City engaged in providing best education with the help of qualified and experienced teachers to the children who are economically backward on nominal fees. LIC Computer Centre will help them to provide job oriented / technical knowledge free of cost to around 1800 students.

LIC Library cum Computer Centre – Muanna In ( Boy’s Home), Mizoram under Silchar Division
This is a Orphanage for Boys where education as well as food is provided free of cost i.e.100 % fees is waived for all inmates. LIC Library cum Computer Centre will provide better study facilities to approximately 300 students.

LIC Vocational Training Centre-cum-Hostel - Swami Satyanand Saraswati Vaani School & Research Centre, Meerut under Meerut Division
The Institution provides high quality academic education to 102 Hearing Handicapped and 28 Mentally Challenged students free of charges to enable them to become useful, productive and self supporting members of the Society. LIC Vocational Training Centre-cum-Hostel will provide the disabled not only variety of vocational courses but also courses which are challenging in their form and content.

LIC Auditorium - Pramilabai Chavan School for the Deaf managed by All India Deaf and Dumb Society, Delhi under Delhi Division II
This School provide education to deaf students and help them for their future progress and development. They have an arrangement with National Institute of Open Schooling whereby students appear for secondary examination. As on date about 280 deaf and mute students are on roll from nursery to 8th class. LIC Auditorium will be utilized for multipurpose educational use of children.

LIC Library - Our Lady of Rosary High School, Dona Puala under Goa Division
The School caters to all round development of girl child. They give special attention to students having learning disability by having special resource room teachers to assist these children to be on par with the other children. LIC Library will enable to cater the increasing number of students and their multiple educational need.

LIC Wing – Isha Education, Coimbatore under Coimbatore Division
This organization was founded as a means to transform the lives of rural children by providing affordable, high-quality education where it is otherwise unavailable. At present there are 363 students from LKG through 4th standard. LIC Wing will enable them to increase the student body to 450 in the academic year starting June 2009, with roughly 60% of the student supported by full scholarships.

LIC Wing – The Victoria Memorial School for the Blind, Tardeo under Mumbai Division IV
This is one of the oldest institution in the service of the blind, since 1902 and it is dedicated to the education and rehabilitation of the visually challenged, making the institution with futuristic perspectives. LIC Wing will enable them to provide better facilities to their inmates.

LIC Bus - Sanskriti Samavardhan Mandal, Nanded under Nanded Division
The Organization is established with a view to educate and empower the deprived rural people of village Sagroli located on the borders of Maharashtra, Andhra and Karnataka. LIC Bus will provide transportation of students from surrounding ten villages radius of 10 kms.

LIC Wing - National Association for Welfare of Physically Handicapped (NAWPH ), Chikhaldara under Amravati Division
This Residential School for the Blind, Chikhaldara was established in the year 1991 and has been working to educate visually impaired children from Melghat Tribal Region of Vidarbha. LIC Wing will enable them to upgrade the school up to Std 10th and to increase its strength up to 250.

LIC Bus - India Vision Foundation, New Delhi under Delhi Division III
This organization is started in Tihar prison fifteen years back and at present they are reaching out to more than 2000 beneficiaries everyday through their various intervention programs in the areas of education, vocational training and life skill training. LIC bus will be utilized for the children of prisoners to take them to exposure trips for enhancing their knowledge and providing them an opportunity to see the outside world.

LIC Bus - Netraheen Vikas Sansthan, Jodhpur under Jodhpur Division
The Institution provides free Boarding, Lodging, medical facilities and studies to all their inmates since 1977. At present there are 363 students out of which 107 students are physically and mentally impaired. LIC Bus will be utilized for transportation of students.

LIC Bus - Tapovan Manovikas Vidyalaya, Sriganganagar under Bikaner Division
This is a residential co-educational institute for mentally retarded children and is providing rehabilitative services since 1991. No fees is charged from the students. At present, there are 129 children in Day Care Centre and 60 in Hostel to whom they provide special education, speech therapy, physiotherapy and vocational training, etc. LIC bus will be utilized for transportation of their inmates who are coming to Day Care Centre from nearby villages and belong to poor sections of the society.

LIC Wing - Ramakrishna Mission, Kadapa under Kadapa Division
The Institution is well known worldwide for its service and is fast growing with numerous activities in town. It is serving the needs of people from backward region of ‘Rayalaseema’. At present, there are 120 students in Spoken English Section and LIC Wing will enable them to increase the strength to 300 students.

LIC Wing ? Asansol Braille Academy, Burdwan under Asansol Division
The residential school for blind where free food, lodging, education as well as study material is provided to the inmates who belong to the poorest stratum of W.B. and also Jharkhand State. Already 45 students up to Class II and 15 administrative staffs man the organization, LIC Wing will enable them to provide education up to Class IV

LIC Hostel?Sri Ramakrishna Vivekananda Sevashram, Annupur under Shahdol Division
The organization is working in the field of tribal girls education and health care since 1995 in Pushparajgrah Block of Annuppur District. The LIC Hostel will provide shelter for more than 75 inmates.

Year 2008-2009

• LIC School - Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji Sarvajanil Shikshan Mandal’s Lok Vidyalaya, Tulsani under Kolhapur Division

LIC School will provide all modern facilities like well equipped laboratory, Computer Room, Library and Gymnastic Hall, etc to about 270 students in a rural area.

• LIC Class Rooms – Barrackpore Girls High School, 24 Paraganas (North) under Kolkata Suburban Division

At present there are around 2500 students in the school from which 1900 get education at free of cost. Extention of School Building will enable the school to accommodate more students who are coming basically from rural area.

• LIC Library - Kharagpur Priyanath Roy Vidyaniketan, Malancha under Kharagpur Division

LIC Library will provide reading facility to about 1000 students and teachers of the above school as well as the people from surrounding locality.

• LIC Computer Laboratory - Don Bosco School, Guwahati under Guwahati Division

LIC Computer Laboratory will cater to 2000 students of Snehalaya, including Evening Batch students, who are coming from economically weaker section. It will also cater to the children studying in various schools managed by Don Bosco NGO’s and other related educational institutes.

• LIC Medical Gymnasium – Asha School, Jabalpur under Jabalpur Division

LIC Medical Gymnasium will facilitate physically challenged children of defense personnel and civilians to join the main stream of society by being self reliant and confident. At present they have 46 children out of which 4 children are wards of civilians. Health Gymnasium will enhance the capability and confidence of these children to become independent and useful member of society

• LIC Orphanage – Paramanand Mission, Burdwan under Asansol Division

This is a philanthropic organization which renders various social welfare services to the economically backward section of the society. LIC Orphanage will provide home to 252 orphan and destitute children..

• LIC School – Mohitnagar Colony Taraprasad Balika Vidyalaya, Mohitnagar under Jalpaiguri Division

LIC School is the only girls high school in the area with 750 students and around 55% of students come from lower strata of the society mostly below poverty line.

• LIC Computer Lab – Patulia Girls High School, 24 Paraganas under Kolkata Suburban Division

The girls school is situated in deep rural area and LIC Computer Lab will impart free computer education to around 700 students every year.

• LIC Hostel – Vanvasi Kalyana, Chipageri under Dharwad Division

Vanavasi Kalyan is striving to inculcate value based development of boys of tribals and forest Dwellers in the fields of education, preserving and developing cultural activities, Health, Finance and protection of their interests to make them self reliant with self respect. At present there are around 50 students. LIC Hostel will increase their capacity and enable the poor tribals residing in forest area, near Chippageri to attend school, which will help towards enhancement of literacy and economic condition.

LIC Library - Navjyot India Foundation under Delhi DO-III

One innovative project that facilitates higher learning, the Foundation has set up a library under the aegis of Navjyoti India Foundation, which is being run under the tutelage of Dr. Kiran Bedi, winner of the Ramon Magsasay Award and a very eminent personality in the realm of social welfare. The objective of LIC Library is creating an atmosphere for education and learning for the rural children which will provide them with books to help them in inculcating a habit of learning and also enhance creativity, expressions, confidence and responsibility amongst them. Around 100 students from government schools will be benefited each year.

LIC Learning Centre - SOS Children's Villages of India, Bhuj under Rajkot Division

The Learning Centre comprises of a Library, a Music room and a computer Lab within the village area. This would provide the children easy accessibility to new learning aids and computer literacy which is essential in steering the children towards fulfilling their goals and becoming self-reliant individuals. LIC Learning Centre will not only facilitate development of their inherent talent but also give opportunity to remain competitive. About 150 children will be benefited with this support.

LIC Learning Centre - Malenadu Education and Rural Development Society, Sirsi under Dharwad Division

LIC Learning Centre will provide education to around 98 under privileged children and to promote all round development of the children of rural areas.

LIC Vocational Rehabilitation Centre - CSI Balar Gnana Illam under Salem Division

The infrastructure development provided at LIC Vocational Rehabilitation Centre will enable the school to contribute not only for learning of the group of mentally challenged children in a conducive environment but also help the children in their journey to become independent through development of mental faculties. It will accommodate around 136 students.

LIC Residential & Vocational Centre for training the girls and women - Society of the Daughters of the Cross, Ankleshwar under Vadodara Division

LIC Residential & Vocational Centre will provide focus on integral development and empowerment of around 185 girls and women in the tribal area.

LIC Vocational Training Hostel - Rural Health & Welfare Programme, Sakwar under Thane Division

LIC Vocational Training Hostel is situated in a very rural & tribal area 20 Km away from Virar. Hundred students will be benefited by this scheme every year by way of free vocational training and boarding, so that they can earn their livelihood.

LIC Residential Resource and Vocational Training Centre - National Association for the Blind (NAB) under Haldwani Division

LIC Residential Resource and Vocational Training Centre is for providing improved and regular training to 47 (5 yrs to 14 years visually impaired student) and 112 registered adult blind. This is the first and only institute in Kumaon Region working for the welfare of the blind.

LIC Vocational Training and Academic Centre - Sree Ram Krishna Prema Bihar, Khorip under Howrah Division

LIC Vocational Training and Academic Centre will provide in upbringing of around 212 orphan children, helping the poor, destitute and distressed people from rural area.

LIC Vocational Training Centre - DISHA -A Resource Centre for the Disabled under Jaipur Division I

It is a Resource Centre for the Disabled and winner of State award for outstanding services in the field of Rehabilitation. There are 130 children and young adults who are getting training in various activities. The LIC Golden Jubilee Foundation has upgraded existing Vocational Training Centre by providing the required equipments for rehabilitation and training of the special children and young adults who suffer from mental, neurological and physical challenges.

LIC Hostel - Maharogi Sewa Samiti, Warora under Nagpur Division

LIC Hostel will provide home for 120 Blind and physically challenged students of IT Training Centre and English Language School at Anandwan, and enable them to become socially independent.

LIC School - Gram Vikas Samiti, Samastipur under Muzaffarpur Division

LIC Gram Vikas School is committed to eradicate child labour and aimed at providing education to around 150 children from socio-economically weaker section who are working in fields, factories, and homes.

LIC School Bus - Little Angels School, Bandra under Mumbai Division I

It is a school for multiple disabled children. LIC School bus will help in transporting such children from different parts of the city.

LIC Bus - Handicapped Development Council (Institute for Mentally Handicapped), under Agra division

The LIC BUS will facilitate to save the recurring expenses of the Institute incurred towards transportation of 131 mentally challenged students who are scattered through out the Agra City.

• LIC Common Room for Multicultural activity- Dasghara High School, Hooghly under Howrah Division

The school caters to a large section of underprivileged students i.e. around 1500 students will be benefited for using LIC Common Room for Multicultural activity.

• LIC Hall - National Association for the welfare of the Physically Handicapped under Nagpur

LIC Hall is provided for around 50 blind handicapped, deaf & dumb children/ students of poor families. Imparting vocational training and education with hostel facilities are provided by the organization.

Year 2007-2008

LIC Educational Wing - Marudyan Primary & Junior High School, Dhanpota, Kolkata under KMDO-II

This school is situated in an under-developed block of Magrahat of South 24 Paraganas in West Bengal. LIC Educational Wing will provide benefit to about 600 students in the school.

• LIC Learning Centre - SOS Children's Village, Latur under Aurangabad Division

The Learning Centre comprises of a Library, a Music room and a computer Lab within the village area. This would provide the children easy accessibility to new learning aids and computer literacy which is essential in steering the children towards fulfilling their goals and becoming self-reliant individuals. LIC Learning Centre will not only facilitate development of their inherent talent but also give opportunity to remain competitive. About 122 children will be benefited with this support.

Learning Centre, SOS Children's Village, Shillong, under Guwahati Division

The Learning Centre comprises of a Library, a Music room and a computer Lab within the village area. This would provide the children easy accessibility to new learning aids and computer literacy which is essential in steering the children towards fulfilling their goals and becoming self-reliant individuals. LIC Learning Centre will not only facilitate development of their inherent talent but also give opportunity to remain competitive. About 160 children will be benefited with this support.

• LIC Educational Wing - Tinisuti Bima School, under Guwahati Division

Tinisuti is a remote village in the backward tribal area under Guwahati Division. This is the only High School in the area. LIC Educational Wing will benefit about 300 students in the school.

LIC- School Library - Govt. Upper Primary School, Bheemanad under Ernakulam Division

This school is situated in a very backward area in the district of Palakkad in Kerala. LIC- School Library will provide books and reading material to students who are unable to pursue their studies due to lack of infrastructure

LIC Educational Block - Sai Vivekanand Vidyalaya, under Chennai Division-2

The school caters to the needs of the lower income group families. LIC Educational Block will benefit about 500 students in the school.

LIC Community Hall - Sr. Secondary School Surani, under Shimla Division

This school is located in a remote village Surani in Kangra distt.of Himachal Pradesh. Construction of community hall will fulfill multipurpose needs of the school. LIC Community Hall will benefit about 575 students in the school.

LIC Library - Anand Kendra, under Gwalior Division

The Kendra has free schooling and hostel facility for Tribal children. LIC Library will facilitate the children further.

Golden Jubilee Scholarship

Year 2008-2009

• Scheme Of LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship for students belonging to the economically weaker families for pursuing higher studies

The objective of the scheme was to award scholarships to meritorious students belonging to economically weaker sections of society so as to provide them better opportunities for higher education increase their rate of attainment in higher education and enhance their employability. Total 800 Scholarships were awarded to students all over India for an amount of Rs. 10,000/- per annum per student.

Year 2007-2008

  • Golden Jubilee Scholarship for visually impaired children with National Association of the Blind, Mumbai.
  • Golden Jubilee Scholarship was awarded to 36 visually impaired children with National Association of the Blind, Mumbai. This was an effort to encourage children to be brought into regular schools. The scholarship ensures all kinds of support including Braille Books, Special teachers and other aids and appliances to visually impaired.

    • LIC Centre - Ujjeebon Spastics Society, Barrack Valley under Silchar Division
    This Institution is a social organization dealing with the treatment and training of Spastic Children of Silchar, Hailakandi and Karimganj and they provide this at free of cost. LIC Centre is established for special education, vocational forums and rehabilitation of such children.

    • LIC Medical Gymnasium - AWWA Asha School, Danapur under Patna Division
    LIC Medical Gymnasium will provide the healthy Environment of growth and development to the 30 Physically / Mentally Handicapped Children through setting up of a Special Gymnasium with Health Equipments, Physiotherapy Equipments and an additional Air Conditioned Room for Medical gymnasium

    • LIC Pathology Lab - Thalassemia and Sickle Cell Society, Hyderabad under Hyderabad Division
    The Society is offering blood transfusion, medical consultation, counseling free of cost and supplying the medicines at subsidized rates. LIC Pathology Lab will facilitate for treatment of around 970 patients.

    • LIC Dialysis Units - Guru Nanak Mission Medical & Educational Trust, Nawashar under Jalandhar Division
    This Charitable Trust is committed to noble cause and is providing high quality low cost health care and educational facilities to the poor and needy population of rural areas of Punjab as a whole. Around 20% of patients are treated at free of cost or at subsidized cost LIC Dialysis Units will enable them to  give treatment to around 300 patients daily in O.P.D. 

    • LIC Nursing School - Kuki Christian Church, Christian Hospital, Manipur under Silchar Division
    This hospital helps the poorest of the poor, also organizes Mobile Medical Team every now and then for remote areas.Every month approximately more than 100 patients are treated free of cost. LIC Nursing School will enable them to enhance their efficiency

    • LIC Hospital Block - Antaragram, Dakshin Gobindapur under Kolkata Division II
    Since 1971, this institution is successfully giving treatment and rehabilitation to hundreds of mentally ill patients, drug addicts and alcoholics which includes Out Patients Clinic, In Patients Facilities, Day Treatment Service, Occupational Therapy and Vocational Training Facilities, Library and Reading Room, etc. LIC Hospital Block will facilitate for the accommodation care, treatment and rehabilitation of psychiatric patients around 30 patients at a time who require long-term stay for their effective treatment.

    • LIC Blood Bank - Sant Gadgebaba Blood Bank & Component Centre, Badnera under Amravati Division
    This is a blood bank and component centre which is operating through out the entire Amravati District and farthest tribal areas of Melghat. Their aim is to provide blood to the rural areas and also to propagate the movements of blood donation in these areas. LIC Blood Bank will provide blood ‘at free of cost’ to Thallaesemia patients.

    • LIC Clinic - Janata Medical Service, Kolkata under Kolkata Division – I
    This Society is catering to the medicare needs of the poor people dwelling in the slum areas surrounding the society by running an out-patient Clinic for last 30 years. LIC Clinic will enable them to give consultation to around 40 patients per day for their basic health-care requirements.

    • LIC Day Care Centre – Ashagram Trust, Barwani under Indore Division
    The organization is actively working for leprosy affected persons, disabled as well as mentally retarded persons. They are promoting and providing basic health care facilities to the poor and marginalized people in the Western M.P. through 80 bed hospital. LIC Day Care Centre is a Comprehensive Rehabilitation Centre for persons with mental retardation where a multidisciplinary professional team will work together to provide services to around 400 patients.

    • LIC Mobile Ophthalmic Unit – PNK Eye Foundation, Lucknow under Lucknow Division
    The Foundation is continuing its community ophthalmic programme on wider “Community Mobile Unit” and group of doctor and paramedical staff regularly visiting to Mehmoodabad (Distt. Sitapur), Amethi (Dist. Lucknow), Mohaan (Distt. Unnao). LIC Mobile Ophthalmic Unit will provide services to underprivileged and needy population of above mentioned locality.

    • LIC Bus – Bhagwan Mahavir Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, Jaipur under Jaipur Division
    The Institution is established to alleviate the suffering of the Cancer affected, where even poor, needy and deprived section of the society can avail state of the art treatment at free of cost. LIC Bus equipped fully with life saving equipments will provide safe transportation facility from residence to the Hospital.

    The Foundation is providing quality eye care services to the rural and under privileged sections of the society. LIC Ward is a free patients ward which will provide post operative services at free of cost.

    • LIC Ambulance – Thakur Hari Prasad Institute of research and Rehabilitation for Mentally Handicapped, Hyderabad under Hyderabad Division
    The Institute provide treatment to mentally handicapped persons through 200 faculty members covering all department of therapy. LIC Ambulance will provide for transportation of children from villages to the institute to undertake their treatment.

    • LIC Ambulance - Ayodhya Charitable Trust, Pune under Pune Division II
    This NGO runs Hearing Conservation Programme and Rural Health Programme since 1977 and till today they have conducted more than 395 camps and examined 1,65,000 patients and distributed 30,000 aids and appliances to the disabled people especially for Hearing Impaired. LIC Ambulance will be utilized for the various projects organized by them and for transportation of disabled children adopted by the Institution.

    • LIC Pathelogy Lab - Lok Hitkari Trust, Gwalior under Gwalior Division
    The Trust is serving the poor and destitute in the field of health and medical for more than 15 years and nearly 200 poor patients are treated free of charge every day and are also provided allopathic medicines free of charge. Automatic analyzer in LIC Pathology Lab will enable them to conduct all the test with higher quality and provide maximum benefit to the patients

    • LIC Clinic - Family Planning Association of India, Gwalior under Gwalior Division
    The Association provide comprehensive educational, clinical and non clinical services in the area of Reproductive health, family Planning, safe motherhood and child health including infertility management. They treat average number of 200-250 patients per day at subsidized rate and approximately at least 20% free of cost. LIC Clinic will enable them to increase their overall beneficiaries to the extent of 15-20% approximately.

    • LIC Mobile Unit - Gandhi Eye Hospital, Aligarh under Aligarh Division
    This charitable organization is one of the best eye care centre since last 70 years which render its services and medical help to lower socio-economic and middle income group of patients also. They treat on an average 200 patients daily and around 80% are treated free of cost or at subsidized cost. LIC Mobile Unit will help them to reach and treat patients in Rural Area.

    • LIC Ward – Betma General Hospital, Mhow under Indore Division
    The Hospital is providing the facilities of the Curative Health Services to the marginalized people of the area who otherwise would not be able to go to Indore City and afford the expensive treatment. LIC Ward will help them to provide adequate medical facilities to surrounding 80 villages where 90-95% population is under BPL.

    • LIC Ambulance – Hanuman Prasad Podder Cancer Hospital, Gorakhpur under Gorakhpur Division
    This is a Charitable Hospital and only nominal charges are obtained for treatment offered to patients Around 771 patients are consulted in the year 2008 free of cost or at subsidized rates. LIC Ambulance will be utilized for organizing Health Care Camps on a regular basis in various Districts of Gorakhpur where treatment is provided to various patients.

    • LIC Detection Centre – Christian Hospital, Mungeli under Bilaspur Division
    The hospital is fully functional and treats a multitude of people. LIC Detection Centre will provide state of the art Medical Treatment for Cancer Patients at the least possible price and to all people whatsoever be their caste, creed or ability to pay.

    • LIC Ambulance - Mar Gregorios Rehabilitation Centre for the Blind, Kodunganoor under Thiruvananthapuram Division
    This Organisation engaged in the rehabilitation of physically and mentally challenged destitute residing in six village panchayats around Trivandrum city and cater to their various needs i.e. Medical, Economic, social and educational needs for last twenty five years. LIC Ambulance will be utilized for transportation of their patients from different areas to be taken to various Govt. Hospitals in the city.

    • LIC Laser Room - Netaji Eye Hospital, Purulia under Asansol Division
    This hospital is a Total Eye Care Centre engaged in the welfare of suffering poor eye patients for the last 55 years where on an average 500 patients are treated every day. LIC Laser Room with equipments will be utilized to provide latest Laser Treatment facility to the Poor Rural and Urban needy eye patients from surrounding area at minimum affordable charges.

    LIC Wing - Sharada Dhanvanthari Charitable Hospital, Sringeri under Udupi Division
    The hospital is rendering medical service mainly to the people of rural area in and around Sringeri in Chikamagalur District of Karnataka State. Every day on an average they give treatment to around 75 patients in OPD which is free of cost and around 25 to 30 in-patients at minimal cost.. LIC Wing will include Female General Ward, Pediatric unit ,OT Room and eye operation theatre.

    • LIC Ambulance - Deepshikha Cancer Care Foundation, Mumbai under Mumbai Division I
    This non-profit voluntary organization is working exclusively for the care of cancer patients for the last four years. Since 2004, through Arogya Bhavan Trust, they are providing accommodation facility to around 30 cancer patients at a time who come from far areas of our country to Mumbai for specialized treatment. LIC Ambulance will be utilized to provide cancer patients cheap and dependable transport to various hospitals which will be readily available even at odd hours.

    • LIC  Mobile  Blood  Donation  Ambulance  –  Indian  Medical  Association  Blood  Bank,  Barreilly  under  Barreilly  Division

    This  is  the  only  blood  bank  with  the  facility  of  component  separation  within  the  area  of  200  Kms.  It  caters  to  the  needs  of  a  population  of  20  lac  people.  It  makes  available  high  quality  of  safe  blood  tested  for  HIV  I  &  II,  Hepatitis  –  B&C,  UDRL  and  Malaria  parasite  at  a  very  nominal  cost.  LIC  Mobile  Blood  Donation  Ambulance  will  enable  them  to  reach  the  distant  areas  and  to  organize  voluntary  blood  donation  camps  and  collection  of  safe  blood  for  needy  patients.

  • LIC Thalassemia Patients Adoption Programme – Ahmedabad Indian Red Cross Society under Ahmedabad Division

    Under LIC Thalassemia Patients Adoption Programme, we have adopted 100 children belonging to economically weaker section, for the treatment at the cost of Rs. 6000/- per child for one year.

  • • LIC Ambulance - Jyotishpeethadheeshwar Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swamy Madhavashram Charitable Trust, Rudraprayag under Dehradun Division

    The project will give health facilities to remote hilly area and health problems of chardham yatris. LIC Ambulance will cater to the need of this 300 bedded Charitable Hospital.

  • LIC Dialysis Centre – Rangadore Memorial Hospital, Bangalore under Bangalore Division I
  • LIC Dialysis Centre will conduct about 1200 dialysis per month. This hospital provides affordable cost dialysis @ Rs. 450/- per dialysis which is perhaps one of the lowest in the country.

    • LIC Blood Bank – Cachar Cancer Hospital Society, Meherpur under Silchar Division

    This Hospital sees about 2000 new patients annually at extremely low cost or free of cost. LIC Blood Bank will facilitate the cancer patients for onco surgery and chemotherapy

    • LIC HIV/AIDs Rehabilitation Centre – Snehadeep Holy Cross Community Care Centre, Hazaribag under Hazaribag Division

    LIC HIV/AIDs Rehabilitation Centre is established for the care support of HIV/AIDs patient. Until today, over 1000 cases are registered and daily average of 15 patients are treated in this centre.

  • LIC Diabetic Eye Clinic – Cuttack Diabetes Research Foundation, Cuttack under Bhubaneshwar Division

    Cuttack Diabetes Research Foundation is a charitable trust to provide world class health care to diabetes patients with nominal charges. Around 200 patients are treated per day. LIC Diabetic Eye Clinic is provided with modern equipment which will provide timely treatment to diabetic patient by laser therapy to prevent majority of blindness.
  • • LIC Clinic and Ambulance – Bethamy Home, Kallayam under Thiruvananthapuram Division

    LIC Clinic and Ambulance, provided in old age home for senior citizens who are destitute in need of shelter and care in their old age and timely medical treatment.

    • LIC Ophthalmic Operation Theatre - Arogyavaram Eye Hospital & contact lens clinic, Sompeta under Vishakhapatnam Division

    LIC Ophthalmic Operation Theatre will enable the hospital to attend around 120 patients and 25 surgeries every day, coming from predominantly tribal backward district of Srikakulam.

    • LIC Critical Care Unit - Satribari Christian Hospital under Guwahati Division

    Fully equipped LIC Critical Care Unit will enable the hospital to provide high quality health care services at subsidized rates to around 20 patients every day from most needy sections of society.

    LIC Laboratory - Swami Shri Nirdoshanandji Manav Seva Trust, Timbi under Bhavnagar Division

    Poor and needy patients in surrounding area of 30 to 40 kms will be benefited by high-tech LIC Laboratory as the hospital will provide medical aid to 200 to 300 patients daily at free / nominal cost

    • LIC Chemotherapy and Day Care Centre - Vasantha Memorial Trust, Chennai under Chennai DO I

    Construction of LIC Chemotherapy and Day Care Centre aims to provide quality care to the poorest of poor who are cancer affected.

    • LIC Hospital – Humanity Trust, Hanspukur- Kalagachia under KMDO I

    Extension by LIC will enable the Hospital which is located in purely rural area and inhabited by low income group people, to enhance its scope of operation to a great extent.

    • LIC Mobile Hospital - Mobile Van Dispensary Shree Dharmasthala, Manjunathewar Medical trust, Dharmasthala, under Udupi, Division

    Mobile van donated by foundation will render rural health services to on an average 3000 patients at each base camp per month out of the 3 base camps identified by the hospital which include medical check-up, medicine, and blood test to the needy patients especially from weaker sections of the society

    LIC Ambulance – Mahavir Cancer Sansthan, Patna under Patna Division

    LIC Ambulance will provide comfortable transportation to around 700-800 cancer patients who are coming to this Institution every day for their investigations and treatment.

    LIC Sponsorship for Cochlear Implant Surgeries - KEM Hospital, Pune Division

    Cochlear implant is not just about surgery, it is a lifelong commitment on the part of the family and the programme for the habilitation into mainstream of society. Foundation has contributed to some of such families which help them in rehabilitating the children into the mainstream of society. 5 Cochlear implants were sanctioned to children residing at Pune, Nashik, Aurangabad, Srinagar and Baramati, belonging to weaker sections of society.

    LIC Dispensary - Ramkrishan Math, Vyttila, Kochi under Ernakulam Division

    Foundation has constructed Ground Floor of Dispensary. LIC Block is providing medical services to the poor people from the nearby villages where the patients are treated free of cost and free medicines.

    LIC Mobile Van - Peoples Welfare Society, under Allahabad Division

    Fully equipped LIC Mobile Van dispensary is donated for providing medical check-up facilities at door steps of needy people in far flung areas of Chaka Block Vikas khand and surrounding block of Allahabad.

    LIC Food Distribution Vehicle - Akshaya Patra foundation, Bhillai under Raipur Division

    The Foundation has taken up implementation of midday meal programme of Chattisgarh Region and is providing midday meal to the under privileged students studying in 133 schools of Bhilai. LIC Food Distribution Vehicle will be available for the above purpose.

    LIC Kitchen - Akshaya Patra Foundation, Puri under Bhubaneswar Division

    The Akshaya Patra Foundation came into being to address two of the most immediate challenges of India ? hunger and education by providing unlimited, wholesome food to attract children to schools, retain them and then focus on children?s holistic development. The ultimate goal is to ensure that no child in India is hungry and every child gets access to good health, wholesome food and schooling and LIC Kitchen will facilitate to accomplish the above goal.

    LIC Food Distribution Vehicle – Akshaya Patra Foundation, Visakhapatnam.

    Under the Visakhapatnam Division, Akshaya Patra Foundation, Visakhapatnam under Visakhapatnam Division LIC Food Distribution Vehicle will provide Mid Day Meal to students in government schools which is organized by Akshaya Patra Foundation in partnership with Central and respective State Government of India, situated in around 60-80 kms area of Visakhapatnam. It is the largest Mid Day Meal Program in the World.

     

    LIC Home - Akshaya’s Helping in H.E.L.P. Trust under Madurai Division

    LIC is providing home to the Trust which is safe/centralized place for the uncared, left on the roads, an environment for rehabilitation and peaceful place for the abandoned elderly people in their last days. It is a new initiative to provide free infrastructure in a remote village to neglected people in distress, aggravated by mental illness and old age.

    LIC Building for Old Destitute People - International Brotherhood Mission, Dibrugarh (Assam) under Jorhat Division

    LIC Building will provide home for old destitute people who are carefully brought up under loving care of the management of the mission.

    LIC Centre - Sewa Bharti(Madhay Bharat), under Bhopal Division

    This organization is running an orphanage and taking care of abandoned children. LIC Centre will help in providing better hygienic atmosphere for the children

    LIC Vocational Training Centre - Navjeevan Centre, Kalyan under Thane Division
    This Project is for upliftment and rehabilitation primarily of children of commercial sex workers who are undergoing residential training at the Navjeevan Village, Murbad. LIC Vocational Training Centre shall help in equipping these children with skills and knowledge so that proper rehabilitation and integration in the main stream is possible.
